I enjoy working on both types of floors, however, ultimately working with a client to recreate a reproduction floor offers a greater sense of achievement.
The issues, I find with originals floors that have failed are commonly due to the subbase and the construction methods when laid originally are not conducive to a simple fix. I have learnt many fixes. Finding the original tile needed are akin to a needle in a haystack.
